what is TTF and what tones do you listen for for coins

two tone ferrous is the other mode instead of hunting in conductive the conductive mode splits your screen vertically and so a target with a 12.45 will sound similar to a target with an id of 35.45 which is diificult to check by sound only for a newcomer the seasoned etrac guys hunt in the conductive mode and see it as the way to go personally especially as i am tone deaf i cannot use the etrac in conductive and so go into the ferrous mode which splits the screen horizontally making all the goodies say on the 10,11 12 13 14 line come in at a high bleep and with a two way signal you can dig and if in auto sensitivity you can be sure of some great finds so it allows you to dig all high tones and leave the low tones where they belong BURIED this is a good mode for high trash areas you have no discrim, accept for the top line and some of that needs to be left open as silver can come in between 1-38 and 1-47 so these are left open the reason for blacking the rest out is because iron will wrap round from the 35 mark sometimes and cause a high tone which is not acceptable if you want to hunt mostly by ear it is a nuisance people choose two tone or even four tone depending on what they want to get used to and really what country you are in as somethings could get missed in 2tf as it splits at 17 anything higher comes in as a grunt try it and see some love it some are not so keen happy hunting

thanks alot sugar for the info im going to try it out now at a location that is full of junk lol but its 250 years old so i know there is some good stuff there

do be sure to black line out use the smallest block on the left hand side edit and go along top with reject between 1.1to say 1.36 as you do have coins in us that come in at 1.37 so leave opem 1.37 to 1.48 and black out 1.49 and 1.50 this stops that darn high pitch that is just falsing leave the rest of the screen open with threshold level down as low as one which will quieten the continual noise down some people may like to hunt with the threshold level a little higher say at 10 so they can hear a constant buzz which i dont find i need as when a good sound bleeps through it is more noticeable hope you find some goodies hope you reply on this topic when you have had a hunt talk sooon

thanks sugar and terry i have the perfect place to try this out i did get your message terry thank you i like your website has alot of good information im going today i have already saved the pattern and settings so im ready i will post some pics if i find anything good:detecting:

I hunt in both modes.. If there isnt alot of trash I use Multi CO. When I come to an area that is trashy I simply switch to TTF.
