What numbers do you guys get on deep silver?

Most of the time no. If they're co-located with other junk they'll be all over the place. Watch your Co number most. The Co number will hold pretty true, even at depth. I've been able to call Wheats and Indians down to the 10

Ya, if it sounds silvery--& especially if it's deep--you have to dig it, no matter what the numbers...

Yes, very deep silver numbers can bounce around a little sometimes - if the numbers stay in a fairly close range and the target has a good tone - just dig it !

We have all heard how important the numbers are on the etrac. I have asked the same question on other forums and have gotten the same answers as well....Dont worry about #s, Tones are where its at...If it sounds good dig it...dont rely on the numbers. Ok, we wont. But some of us would still like to know what range of numbers you more experienced users are finding silver under. Some of the users asking that question might not have good hearing or some have almost no hearing ability at all when it comes to frequency. I saw a Youtube video where a guy was digging 7-46 and 9-46 silver dimes one after another. He was showing the screen and showing the full dig. I would love to hear what number range you master etracers are seeing when you are digging silver coins or jewelry. Pretty please, Idigid

I think the CO number is the key,,,, they are fairly consistent and a good representation of whats under the coil. If your hunting in cond sounds then the tone will be high even if the FE # is off the 12 line ..... so if you follow the advice here you would dig it for the good tone,,,, but use the # to try to guess what you have

As someone who doesn't ignore numbers and just listen to sounds I'll tell you exactly what I watch for number wise.

The vast majority of silver dimes will have a CO of 44 to 46 the most of the time it reading 45 or 46 with an occasional 44.

The vast majority of silver quarters will have a CO of 46 or 47 with the strong number being 47. In other words you see 47 more often than 46.

FE is generally all over the place so I pretty much ignore it.
