Check it out. Not perfect but real.

Thanks Tex, ya done good my man. That for me, and I would think some others too, is the kind of video I've been waiting for on the F19. :beers:

Thanks guys. Funny how little response you get. Most coin hunters would love to see a very old seated. Go figure.

Whaaa!

Huge Congratulations there, Geo! What a great coin!

That '82 reading' got me curious about your post...the filmed find is pretty deep into your vid, and most guys probably checked out early...you retitle the post to 'Seated dime with the F19' and it would have got some love here for sure! Great score! I hear some heavy fast traffic in the background, like an interstate...always trying to figure things out..nice score there dude!:beers:.
Mud

Well done! Older than anything I have found, but I need to find an old site or two. Congrats!

Mud,
The interstate is a stones throw. Thank you my friend for taking a look. George

Great video George and an excellent find!. Looks like that 19's gonna get the job done for you. Keep the videos coming.

Not just to see the type of site environment you were hunting, or to hear what the F-19 can do for you in your button hunting sites, but especially to see you working it with the stock 5X10 DD coil.

No folks, I haven't converted over to Double-D's and abandoned Concentric coils, but I was especially pleased to see you using the stock coil. It seems like almost every-other post topic, regardless of brand, seems to be about some aftermarket search coil. Yes, folks, I know some of them can be 'OK,' but I give the detector manufacturers credits, most of the time, for also producing some very functional search coils for their detectors.

I'm not a fan of White's 10" DD or Teknetics/Fisher 11" Bi-Axial coils, but I do really like the 5" DD that I use on the Omega and found it worked just fine on the G2 and especially the improved performance F-19. On the first F-19 I had to evaluate I was not only pleased with the appearance of the camo design, but pleased with the improved performance afield over the G2, and especially with the 5X10 DD coil.

Thanks for the video, and for using the stock coil.

PS: Congrats on the Seated dime from the '40' decade. I have found a lot of Seated Liberty Quarters, Dimes and Half-Dimes from 1838 to 1891, with the majority in the 1850's and 1880's,and quite a good number in other decade eras, but for some reason I just haven't turned a Seated Liberty from ANY date from '1840 thru 1849'. Even my favorite ghost town, which has produced the most old period coins, in quantity, than any other single site I have hunted, still hasn't coughed up anything from the forties. That includes Quarters, nothing from that period.

That town produced an 1851 Large Cent, 1858 Flying Eagle cent, 1836 Capped Bust Half-Dime, and my Seated Liberty dime count was about 30-35 for every Barber dime .... but never one dated from the forties. Finding a Seated Liberty coin from the forties is on my list of two coins I want to find but haven't. ANY Seated with a '40s' date, and a 20¢ piece. So, Congrats on the coin find as well.

Monte,
That 5x10 will never leave the rod. Perfect for this detector. Thanks for your comments. George

Nice video George and great finds! I'm going to have to try an F-19. The camo has grown on me!

Hope it works for you.
