Wheat Harvest

This is the first batch I cleaned up. The second one is larger.

How would I "enhance" them? There is only a certain resolution the site will allow anyone to post.

DukeOBass,

Using Adobe Photoshop Elements contrast and other features to enhance the photo and then
saving the results for less than 420KB is fairly easy to do. There are other Photo programs that
will do the same. It takes me about 20 seconds to do it.

I don't have Adobe Photoshop but, will try something else.

I tried to enhance this a bit. I think it made the date clearer.

DukeOBass,

Well, if you did have Adobe Photoshop Elements ($79), then I could explain to you
on how to quickly enhance your coin photos.
Easy way to photograph your coins is to place your coins on a dark material and use
a bright light or a flash or take the coins outside in the sunlight and take a photo.

The picture was taken outside. I used white so the dates would show up.

I have a second "harvest of wheats" consisting of about 60 coins I dug last Monday. Also a Buffalo nickel and two or three Indian Heads. They have one more week in the olive oil bath before I photograph them.

I forgot to photograph my Shield Nickel before putting in the cardboard flip. It's quite worn so you didn't miss much.

Excellent harvest there Duke, I,ve only produced 48 so far this year. Looks like they cleaned up nicely.

They still have quite a few deep stains on them but, for coming out the ground, they look as good as they can.

I have had the blue Whitman Coin Albums since I was a kid and still have spots to fill in my Wheat Penny books. Most of what I'm missing are the "S" mints due to living in the east. A guy whose yard I found 54 wheaties in told me he has a box of Wheats I can go through to fill out my album. Can't wait to go back! It's more than a day trip though. I had thought about asking around on the forum about trades for what I'm missing. Maybe after I go through this guy's box full.
