When is the F80 coming out?

When I think about what I would like to see in a new high end detector from First Texas I come up with two main features or sets of features.

The first is based on a white paper that Dave Johnson published on the Fisher website in October 2009 entitled, "What are processes". This post which is still available on the Fisher website ended with these comments from Dave, "Our workhorse process family since 2006 has been the T2 (
 
What would we like to see in the dream -- reasonable -- machine? Here is a list of ideas I gleaned from others that mentioned what they would like to see in a new Fisher/T2. I will add to this list as others come up with more ideas.

1. Water proof F70/F75
2. Back light -- that you can turn on or off as an option -- switchable
3. Quick detachable coils -- say at the coil, then you can switch between coils like a snap on at the shaft end -- make coils for this
4. Clip on grips making it possible to change grips size and style to personal preference, rubber (waterproof) foam, hard, soft, hand formed grips, etc.
5. Coil covers that don't catch water of sand, some kind of seal to prevent this
6. some way to adjust the arm cup without the use of a strap, maybe soft metal to bend into shape?

Okay, what other things would be of interest -- maybe Fisher is listening??

7. The ability to see through the soil, like those fish finders with a picture of what you are targeting -- I know, maybe not practical? I was joking when I added this but the more I think about -- why not?

8. Data visualization -- greater detail to aid in determining the target --

One thing...I doubt theres anybody out there with the pedigree or experience Dave J has in detector design...I just hope theres a few boys in FTP management, mfg, and marketing that get on board and really make a run for the market...
Its a whole new game out there detecting...more of a race...sure, pick up a few missed silvers along the way, but this demographic/age is different than the general park hunters of yore ...its gotta be Gold, Plat, waterproof, all inclusive, fast, light, and actually a money maker for all concerned...well, It would sure be nice if we see something soon...I'm heavily strategizing 2014, and the plan is dropped gold, lots of it, as fast as possible....Runnin and gunnin! :buds:

I'd love to hear about and see a new fisher machine...an F80 would be awesome...waterproof a F75LTD and call it whatever...I'd be on the list for that!
 
The new machine would be an F60 or F65 if you follow the pattern of creation from the F75 to the F70. The workhorse processor for the Fisher family is based on the T2 of 2006, so where has the development gone since the F75 and F70 following, what 2008 or 09? This is 2014. What about the Bounty Hunters? Are they experimental, or what? I have a BH treasure pro that is pretty old but has a large VID screen. It is a little bitty thing but does a pretty good job and its ID is spot on. Very simple to use, etc. It looks like the precursor to the F2 only smaller. The VID screen is as large but the housing is about half the size of the F2. It pretty much does everything the F2 will do. I saw a BH 3300 Discovery and it looked like something before the F5? Just wondering.
 
Well I want it to be called an F80....dagnabbit!!! You present your theory as if the F70 is something more than the F75.....seriously? Come on spring...this cabin fever is killin me...:detecting:
 
Sorry little john did not mean to twist yer tail. But in thinking about it, the next machine should be called and F85 so they can then step back and create an F80 -- Hey, I'm not saying the F70 is better I was just mentioning what they did. They made the wonderful, most fabulous and exciting, premium best ever metal detector ever then stepped back and did a little back up and made the F70 after the pattern of the most wonderful of all machines ending up with a humble little ole F70 for half the money. I personally would love to have an F75 LTD or SE or just the plain ole F75. I know that to some the money don't matter no how cause you see many own several High brow machines -- Oh, just for fun look it what I found 7" down next to a fence post back in December then later I found another, near a fence post about 20 yard from the first one, and it too was 7" down about 6" out from the fence post -- unbelievable. Believe me I am checking all of the fence post.
