When using TTF?

When using TTF are the silver coins going to fall into the same area of the grid as they would, if not using TTF? New to the E-TRAC and newer to TTF. Thanks for the help.
 
It sure seems like it to me, When you pinpoint if it targets at the bottom you can bet its junk, I like to turn up the gain to 29 or 30 to increase the pitch of the hi tone from the iron grunts, if running TTF I like to use Andy's program or the stock relic mode because you want to here the iron and not null over it. GL HH
 
Numbers will be similar but be aware that if iron is very near the target the numbers will be a bit skewed, for example dug a wheat the other day that came in at 20-42 as the most prevalent number by turning and sweeping slowly the numbers would jump from 15-43 to 17-42 but the tone sounded good.
 
I completely agree with both comments so far. Their input is my experience exactly. I have been hunting in TTF a lot lately and the comments above reflect exactly what I am seeing/hearing. Good luck with it, TTF is a great tool when used correctly. HH -Marc
 
Yes I also agree with all the above other people. The conductiveno. is pretty accurate and tight on the E-Trac because of the way it was designed with that horizontal 12 line for Conductive having 1-50 points of resolution for targets to fall along but the ferrous numbers can and will be all over the place so don't pay too much attention to them because of soil mineralization, masking, corrosion, nearby iorn etc. of the soil and targets..

If that is the case and I have experienced the same

When using TTF and getting the high Conductive but the skewed Fe resulting in the cursor being low

Would you then just depend on the high tone sound and the conductive number to dig?
