Where I hunt...

Thought I'd take time while it's storming to share some photos of one of the places I've hunted with any others who are house-bound from the bad weather. I've hunted this place several times. Found a nice pocketful of clad the first time I hunted it when I was starting out (including a couple Sac dollar coins) but haven't ever found much since or anything of much value. Still I come back...I wonder why ? This was actually one of the less-scenic days I've been to this spot. Since the hunting was so slow this trip ended up being about 50% hunting and 50% coffee break...and I enjoyed every second ! I did manage one cool sight find. This jade-green glass ring was half-exposed sticking out of the ground straight on edge. It was sitting about 18" from the edge of an 80' + cliff (see photo) Probably wouldn't have made it through the winter before it was in the Pacific. Thanks for looking..hope you enjoy.

PS- After this hunt things really picked up at the next spot...I'll be postin some find's photos when I get the pics together.

Dang Scott,
I thought Montana had the best views, but WOW !
Thats like , AWESOME ! especially since its winter /snow here.

The pic with your MD leanin on a tree, thats my favorite.
I REALLY want to be there.

Good photography there.

Be safe and keep an eye on that edge.

Beautiful pictures Scott. If I didn't know better, I would have sworn that you took those pictures right here in Central IL just last week.......

Nice pics and awesome view for sure  reminds of my time when I lived in Laguna and was stationed at Camp Pendleton. If you ever have a non-productive day MDting, you could always practice to star as an "Acapulco Cliff Diver". LOL. CCH
