Well i took advantage of this deal great price and the GT is not going to be around much longer the stock can,t last forever , the one i have now is almost 5 years old it,s just not what it used to be ! I talked to JW and got one nice guy to deal with . Always good to have a prefect back up machine :detecting: HH all Jim

Sure is a good deal Ive seen used ones on the auction sites go for about same price or even more and that's without anything extra ,when i get this new one i want to compare it with my 5 year old one with the same coil 10" i already have and see if there is any difference in performance  Jim

Another advertiser on the top of these pages has it listed for 799.99 you should always check out the adds for all the venders listed first..
Just saying.

Unless they just come out with a new GT which some of us want, they haven't made a GT for several years. I myself would love to see a new Sovereign that is balanced better and lighter weight . This is one of the best detector ever made and very easy to use, you don't have all the adjustment or should I say miss adjusted and can do very well if you go slow and listen for the tones and let you know it has seen a good target.
I always say that the Sovereigns put Minelab where they are today by those that kept their Sovereigns as they too learned them and believe in them, the GT was the better one of all and if a new model was coming out I would like to see if it can and will be better than the GT.

As you can see I am not the only one that keeps their Sovereigns even though many will buy a new detector as we have seen what they can do and keep our Sovereigns.

If they bring back the Sovereign.

Water proof/submersible.
Light weight. Surface mount technology.
Faster recovery speed.
While still seeing silver in the null.
And as durable as it's always been.

The last detector to leave my hands will be my GT.
