Why I dig it all.

Got skunked at my good silver site except for 5 Wheats. Moved to a field to look for jewelry and coins. I finally got a signal 3 notches below zinc cent size C. This is normally not a good notch for me. I cut my flap and immediately saw silver which looked like foil at first. (It was getting dark.) It grabbed it and the chain just kept coming and coming. Turns out it's 30 inches long, chunky, weighs just under 40 grams and is marked 925 Italy in three places. Almost 1.25 ounces of silver which is the amount of silver in around 15 silver dimes. I'm satisfied. My heaviest piece of silver jewelry to date. My coin count was low mostly due to the fact that for about half the hunt I was looking for silver where there is very little clad. The picture sucks but I'm tired of messing with it. The scale reads 39.3g and was bouncing between there and 39.5g. I choose to call it 39.5g, which is my prerogative, I suppose.

30' CHAIN IS A MONSTER CHAIN.....YOU SURE IT ISN'T A LOG CHAIN?....LOL GREAT FIND!..................ROGER

WTG cwilk I also dig pretty much everything. And the good news is you got an excellent start to your Mr. T starter set for jewelry!! "I pity the fool"

Nice find cwilk

I dig it all (most of the time) just for what I have found on my various tests I have down with the ACE. And besides that little voice always says "what if I don't dig it and it is something good".

Again nice find

Don

:rofl:Alright "T".....Hilarious:lol: Hey, that is one heck of a chain, and .925 to boot:thumbup: You da man, Chris!:detecting:Yeah, experience has taught me to dig everything and I do for the most part. Unless I'm feeling lazy or hurtin' too bad:blowup:Happy Hunting!:)

That would be a great chain to hang your two Reale from and you could wear it when you go out detecting for good luck. Oh yeah, the two Reale.....you already have good luck.

Great find Bud.

NIce chain Chris, sure is a big one !
Dig it all is the best form of target I.D.
Removes all doubt what it might be.
Good hunting to you ! Gene

I have been lucky this year from time to time. Last year I was a LOT luckier. It's all good to me.

BTW, the exact same 2 Reale Coin sold on Ebay recently for 12 bucks. It was a lot more worn than mine which is not for sale. I would have bid on it but it required a Paypal account and I stopped using that service after my account got hijacked. Took me ages to get MY money back.
