Got skunked at my good silver site except for 5 Wheats. Moved to a field to look for jewelry and coins. I finally got a signal 3 notches below zinc cent size C. This is normally not a good notch for me. I cut my flap and immediately saw silver which looked like foil at first. (It was getting dark.) It grabbed it and the chain just kept coming and coming. Turns out it's 30 inches long, chunky, weighs just under 40 grams and is marked 925 Italy in three places. Almost 1.25 ounces of silver which is the amount of silver in around 15 silver dimes. I'm satisfied. My heaviest piece of silver jewelry to date. My coin count was low mostly due to the fact that for about half the hunt I was looking for silver where there is very little clad. The picture sucks but I'm tired of messing with it. The scale reads 39.3g and was bouncing between there and 39.5g. I choose to call it 39.5g, which is my prerogative, I suppose.
