lately my wife has been going with me in the afternoon hunting at the old school. she uses my coinstrike and i use my explorer 2 and she has really learned fast. tonight she found her first wheat cent and also an old brass ring. she was excited about her first old coin and the ring was just a kicker. the wheat was a 1941. hopefully i can get her to go more. she really just wants to find what all women would love to have which is a big fat diamond ring. i told her to keep plugging along and she will find herself a ring sooner or later. i also think its good stress relief for her to metal detect as we lost our 12 year old son to cancer last february and metal detecting keeps your mind busy. anywho when i find my camera cables i will post some pics of our finds. hope you all have a nice evening and happy hutning.

What if you find a 20 dollar gold piece or a 20,000 dollar diamond rind....Gone. Man I think that's great. I want a wife like yours. Congrats to her. Lets hear her on the forum. Sorry dude.

Sorry about the loss of your son...and I too know how metal detecting can help ease us along through some tough times.

hopefully i can fins me some older coins thursday as i am off from work and hope to go to a local park that i have never been to before. the lady i work for said that the park is very large and has been there for at least 50 to 60 years that she knows of so i hope she is right. i am 39 and lived here all my life and didnt even know that the park existed though its on the other side of town. hope the rain is gone as its been raining here in the south for the last week and a half. here in north carolina weve had our share of rain but nothing like georgia. havent found any silver in the last 2 weeks so i hope to break the drought so to speak. have a good one all and as always happy hunting.
