Will Explorer XS lower shaft work on E-trac?????

I use the lower shaft of the Explorer XS with the smaller coils on my Etrac.
Yes, in most cases, it will work on the Etrac and will fit into the black upper shaft of the Etrac.
There may be slim chance that the cable of the coil you want to use MIGHT cause a tight fit , so just be mindful of that.
It may prevent an easy slide and may also interfere with the cam lock of the Etrac upper shaft closing and locking down completely . candle wax helps. Make sure the cable is not under any stress.
or
it may be too loose. If it is too loose, "shim"/build up the thickness of the shaft with a tape or a thin plastic to make it thick enough to engage the cam lock.
