Floating and falling
Through winter air
Snowflakes gathering
Together in pairs
The ground once green
Is now pearly white
Undeniably beautiful
Undeniably bright
In the face of such beauty
Why do spirits fade
We sigh and gaze
As winter invades
Oh for the grass
To grow in a spurt
Oh snow, don
 
Couldn't have said it better,
In a longer letter!
