Would you buy an E-Trac now?

Longer you don't have a E-Trac the more silver the rest of us will find! lol

If you have any questions or looking for a great deal give me a call. Love to help you! Thanks, Bart

Many have given up waiting in the UK and have gone for the French XP Deus.

At any rally gathering the machine of the era is the Deus they are everywhere.

Having owned Minelab machines for over 20 years in the past, when Codan extract their digit I will purchase a super lightweight, cordless machine from them.

Until then its au revoir. Jerry.

that appears to be no (b.s)..just sayin'

it may be why it's gonna take another year,or so,because
they want to make sure there are zero infringement issues!
also,it just may take that long to get it right!..just sayin'

I would wait if anything for Etrac price reduction,I am hearing that they might go down to $1099 at large chain store, sales were not so hot may be great bargin this spring.Minelab is feeling the pinch Deus on the high end and A T Pro on low side dropping cost of Etrac would be smart thing to do for Minelab.I would wait till April at least.

i agree! heard the same "scuttlebutt!"
i believe many "vets" in the field have already
done the deed, however still many waiting in the wings!
so to speak!..just sayin'

Ran several other top end machines through the "mill" and they could not hold a candle to my E-Trac.That being said it would be in the best interest of all E-Trac users if another E-Trac were never sold.
If your goal is to go to older hammered public sites and clean out all the goodies the other machines missed then the E-Trac is the perfect choice and the sooner the better.....

i hear ya ray!..i have drawn this conclusion over time myself! results tell the tale, and
it's no crap storm, when ya can see the results being posted here all the time!
seems to be a no brainer!. if they can manage to lower the price, and NOT compromise
performance, then many others will come on board, one would think!..just sayin'

I feel like the Sovereign GT and the Explorers the price will be going up instead of going lower on the E-Trac, so now maybe the time to buy if a person wants one. Just my opinion and experience of what has happened in the past.

I have had my E-Trac for 1 year and have had my best year ever! I have had several different detectors over the years and enjoyed using them. I always thought there was more targets to be found but at least I had fun... Now when I leave a site I feel that I had the best tool available and I did a through 'cleaning' lol. I went back to sites I had hit with my other detectors and smiled when I left because I knew the coins in my pouch were missed by the other machines. I did have a learning curve, but several people on this forum really helped me.
To answer your question with one word. YES!

I liked my first e-trac so good I bought in july this year that I just bought another for my back machine. I leave a 10x12 sef on one and a small coil (6x:geek:on the other. This too will change when I get my sunray x5 in a couple weeks. I also have a V3i machine but it seems to only sit in the closet. The dreaded E-trac-a real coin killer indeed. You wouldn't believe how many people that own property with old dwellings reply to my asking to hunt,"there's no money around there'. Out of all the dwellings i've hunted, only 2 have not produced at least 1 silver or indian head. And most of the places have been hit hard with other brands of detectors. By the way, I got into detecting Feb 2011.

Well guys I bought an Etrac about 2 months ago and have about 40hrs on it now that the season is over. I had an Xterra 705 Gold for several more months before that and have well over 100hrs detecting on that machine. I am not a seasoned hunter by any means but a pretty fast learner and wanted to see how the two machines compared side by side, so did some head to head basic tests. The 705 found everything the Etrac found and the Etrac found everything the 705 did with the exception of one coin. These tests and results were similar to Diggers, that he did between the two machines right out in the field also. The thing that sold me on getting an Etrac, besides all the silver finds in trash, was the inline X1 probe. I thought this would really speed up recovery time, however I didn't realize the sweep speed for an Etrac is about twice that of the 705. With that being said, I would recommend a 705 for some one just starting out or on a budget, because for half the price and half the learning curve, I think a person will find almost as much silver as an Etrac. I am glad I could afford an Etrac and I know I need more experience with it, but with these two metal detectors, I don't think I will ever need a third. I think I have the two best ones available right now. JMHO

Hard to argue that point!
