So Michelob calls me a little while ago and tells me this story...

On his lunch break today he was so jonesing to detect that he drove to the park near his job. BUT, he had to do an interview after lunch and did not want to get dirty so he only brought his detector and no digging tools just so he can hear some sweet sounds from his detector. This is NOT normal!!!

I can almost understand the cabin fever syndrome where he might have been locked up in the frozen tundra for months and the ground was still frozen and he was so anxious to get out a little but the dude has detected probably 20+ hours on Saturday, Sunday Monday. Halfway through the next day he is so excited to go again that he pulls a "no digger" stunt just to hear sounds!!!

Can anyone recommend a good addiction hotline for him????? He needs help BAD!!:help:

Lets just make him a cd of explorer sounds,or put them on a walkman for him.
You know sometimes the songs get stuck in your head, and you go around humming them for days.
LOL,hes got the fever.

iv only gone detecting once in a month but thats ok. me and etrac have had few awsome night hunts in my dreams. found my first gold coin the other night in a dream and man im still thinking its real.
so now im always ready for bed just so i can hunt lmao

You aren't lying cuz. :surrender: I am addicted and I don't ever see that changing. I am most at peace when dirt fishing. Thank God I have an amazing wife that understands it's in my blood.

I blame Minelab.
Even though we will most likely never get back the good ol days in Chicago at the Marina, the Boyscout Camp and the Ski Jump spots where we could pull (most of the time your pops grabbing all the goodies) ridiculous amounts of silver in a day without breaking a sweat...Minelab has made it possible again to pull silver in "hunted out" spots.

Maybe I should sue them like that lady did with the McDonald's cup of coffee. My case would be that they make too good of machine and I am addicted. :twodetecting:

By the way, the one signal that I marked for later retrieval ended up being a new clothes button. I was hoping for another Indian Head.

Later cuz. Keep on swinging!

Hey Michelob,
Don't forget to mark the spots with the good signals..for future retrieval! you know... on your 10 min 3pm break!

Dang now ya got me wantin to use my lunch break like that too!

Sure beats meth or pulling a slot machine handle.

Funny how you can go over the same site many times and still believe there is one more goody to be found, (and often comes true), also notice when driving around all you think about is a places' metal detecting potential?
