WS6 screen smear

Listener

Well-known member
After charging this morning I noticed a small smear at the bottom left of the screen. Don’t remember bumping it and the screen protector wasn’t scratched. May have to send it off . Does anyone have the current info on service?

Turns out it moved when I went out detecting so took a closer look and found if I tapped on the unit it moved around and appears to be a piece of plastic flashing that has broke loose and able to shuffle around inside the glass. I moved it down past the bottom where it is not visible and hope it stays without any side effects.

I immediately put Z A G G invisible screen protector on my WS6 to prevent scratches. It has worked well for the last 8 months of hard hunting in the woods and on the beach.

I’m sure others have done as I have. I used one of the extra Equinox screen protectors. Cut to size I only needed one EQX protector to cover the remote and WS6 displays.

Listener, it almost looks like you have a bit of damage under the glass just above the Deus label. I wonder if it came from there?
Looks like whatever the picture showed is gone now and have no further issues. I did find I had a package of screen protectors that were 1.8” square for and older camera. I cleaned the face and used one of those after trimming some off on one side.
