I tried without success to hook up the ctx on my new computer that has windows 10 on it. The ctx would acknowledge it was connected but the icon for it would not appear no matter what I tried.

I was finally able to hook it up. Turns out the issue is with the USB port. It was the new standard 3.0 and Exchange will only work on 2.0 or earlier. I plugged it into a 2.0 port and no problems, worked as expected on the same computer.

Add usb 3.0 compatibility to the upgrade list Minelab!

I'm running Windows 10 on a new computer and mine works fine connected to the USB 3.0 port. Don't have any solutions for you. Maybe a bad USB port or bad cable? Sorry I'm not more help.
 
Hard to say what the exact issue was. My clue was Win 10 telling me an older printer I had hooked up would not support usb 3.0 and to use a 2.0 port. Then the printer worked fine. So I tried the same thing with exchange 2 with the same result!
