I found an old crusty IH cent last week that I thought might be another extremely rare 1877. I soaked it overnight in Olive Oil and the next day, lightly brushed it with a cotton swab. I won't be sending this one in to be graded as the condition is nasty. But, for the record, it is an 1877 and I'm excited to have found 3 of them in less than 12 months. The first two pictures of are the most recent 1877. One picture is while it is still wet with the olive oil, and the second picture is after I dried it off. It is easier to see with magnification of the "real thing". But even with the limited resolution here, the first 7 is quite clear in the "wet" picture, while the second 7 is more clear in the "dry" picture. For comparison of how coin conditions vary from site to site, I've also posted pictures of the one I found this past July with my E-TRAC as well as the one I found last November with my X-TERRA 705. :detecting: :minelab: HH Randy
