Yesterday's old park hunt...

This one park has never failed to send me home with something good and yesterday was no exception. The indians are 1868, 1883, 1890 and 1898. That's a 1907 Canadian dime and a '41-s merc. The frog is solid brass. The tag says" meet me on the pike". What is that?

WTG Neal.:clapping: Sounds like that old park still has some nice finds there. Keep hitting that place and I'm sure we will be seeing some more posts from you for sure. HH.

I don't think I've ever seen you not bring home nice finds.....looks like you found some interesting items there (once again).....congrats!

Great finds Neal.

I have some parks like that...and you just never know what will pop out.

Some days...nothin'...then other days...W@W.

Just wish that 1868 Injun would have been in better shape but can't complain on diggin' an Oldie like that. Congrats on them great finds and that Canadian Dime. Good Luck and HH to you on your next hunt.:detecting:

Very nice Neal!!!
Im still looking for a old Canadian dime!!! Sweet digs!!

your tag is likely a 1904 Louisiana Purchase Exposition souvenir, combining references to the song "Meet Me in St. Louis, Louis" and the Pike, which was the entertainment district of the World's Fair.

just an educated guess! thanks again for sharing your finds, Neal

Hi - Nice detective work there....I think you are right and thanks for the great link.....I'm going to order that book as it looks really interesting.

Looks like Neal's got a real keeper there in that relic!

Best, Erik

Nice finds Neal! I bet you worked hard for those. Are you finding stuff deep or hiding in the trash?

I have been picking up a nice Indian head and wheats about every time I go out, and a nice merc the other day. We should plan another hunt get together.

Keep up the good finds and HH - BF

unless you can mysteriously stumble upon a virgin site all the time; trashy spots are where a lot of good coins still are.
Trash picking is slow and tedious work though. Well worth it I'd say
