Yesterday's old park hunt...

This one park has never failed to send me home with something good and yesterday was no exception. The indians are 1868, 1883, 1890 and 1898. That's a 1907 Canadian dime and a '41-s merc. The frog is solid brass. The tag says" meet me on the pike". What is that?

your tag is likely a 1904 Louisiana Purchase Exposition souvenir, combining references to the song "Meet Me in St. Louis, Louis" and the Pike, which was the entertainment district of the World's Fair.

I have been picking up a nice Indian head and wheats about every time I go out, and a nice merc the other day. We should plan another hunt get together.

unless you can mysteriously stumble upon a virgin site all the time; trashy spots are where a lot of good coins still are.
Trash picking is slow and tedious work though. Well worth it I'd say
