A buddy of mine has had a problem with racoons raiding his fish pond. He's gone as far as laying a sheet
of plywood over the thing. It works but is a pain to remember and his yard is still busy with the little buggars, he says.
He visited a local pond supply store and was advised to buy a jar of coyote urine from them. He paid $20 for it but said it
really worked well. He has little cups that he pours a few drops in and places them around his yard. He hasn't seen a
racoon since and his neighbors haven't either. Who'd of thunk it.

but have never had one in the pond.........yet. I do have the hot wire around the flower beds though. If I have coon problems I just catch them and haul them to the nature center 4 miles away as I did the skunks. Seems like Coyote pizz would be easier if they do cause problems. I have crows coming in and eating the fish food though and we have a neighbor down on the river that have otter cleaning out her pond for her. Maybe coyote pizz would work for her though

I thought they only washed there food but I guess they will take food if they can get their hands on it even in the water. I know they eat frogs etc.
