1956 Gold Class Ring! And Others

Finds are from a handful of weekend hunts since my last post. All finds were found at public researched sites with my eTrac + 12x10 SEF & 12x15 SEF coils.
The gold ring was a huge surprise. It was a tight 13-14 signal in a junky area @ 7 inches or so. I thought I was digging a buffalo nickel until I saw the glint of gold in the hole.
It is in pristine condition other than the band needing to be straightened. It made my day.
Another unique find was that Pontiac “Chief” key fob. From my research, it appears to be for a 1950 era Pontiac.
The gold colored coin is a 1937 2 Francs French coin made of bronze. It looks to be clipped around the edges.
The cooler weather and softer ground from some recent rains made hunting more enjoyable.

Thanks for looking!
Dave

Thats some impressive finds! Love the ring, still shows a lot of detail too! Was trying to identify the mascot in the middle of the ring, kinda looks like an M but also like a face!!!!

Dave, the class ring is beyond cool! Congrats on that one + the rest of the pile. Could you please let us know how the encased cent rang up on the E-Trac? I have always wanted to dig one of those.

Nice finds Dave love when those class rings show up I just dug a 1968 from my wife's high school

Hi Ron,
I am sure that is an M as the town (population about 5500) I found it in starts with that letter.

thanks Jim,
Yes I really like that key fob also. It is very well made. I thought it was a pendant at first until I figured it out.
Great pile of finds again. Especially like the ring, old toy truck and key fob. I can still remember the Pontiac Chief auto. Good batch of old coins, too. HH jim tn

Thanks Mike,
That wheat penny encased in the aluminum token read about 12-43/12-44 (probably would be low 20s on the nox) and showed about 5 inches on the depth meter but was deeper. I thought I may be digging a screwcap or token as I knew it was a little bigger.
I have found a couple other pennies encased in aluminum tokens over the years but they were from the 60s so it was nice to get one a little older.

Thanks Mark.
I just took a look that 1968 class ring you pulled in May. Very nice.
1956 is one year after my mom graduated. Her class ring is pretty worn compared to this one.
