Equinox getting dumped

Nope not me but I may buy a Deus 11 as I only own one detector the Nox has found me usually around 200+ silvers a year and gold rings

My equinox isn’t going anywhere.

I'm keeping my Nox whether or not the D2 is equal to or better, it's a great performing machine.
You have done very well with your equinox!

Thank you, I'm looking forward to what Minelab has up their sleeve :)
I believe we will be very happy with what’s coming 🙂

I’ve got the Deus 2 on order. So far from what I’m seeing & hearing, it looks like it’s going to edge out the Nox. I will ultimately be the judge of that!…If indeed it beats the Nox on performance, I will sell my Nox. It’s my belief that in this game , you must be armed with the best equipment available to keep up with the competition….The Nox has been & still is a great performer…no doubt about it!

Funny thing It's not available and I am still detecting, it will interesting to see actually how long the roll out will take.

I have had several people tell me I should get this or that, I am a relic hunter. I have hunted with a Explore II since 2004 or 05 whenever it came out. I still come up with a little trick or two that you can do with it. It amazes me how fast people go through machines before moving on to the next hottest thing. I know my Explorer II does not do as good in the red ground around Culpeper but I do think if I hunted it enough I could learn it. I have been relic hunting for 51 years and the Explorer II doesn't leave a lot in the ground

Looks like a lot of detectorist are selling off the EQ for the deus 2?
Remember the grass isn't always greener on the otherside of the fence.
Already have the Deus II on order and probably will sell one of my 800s and probably the second one if I just love the Deus II.
Either way I don't plan to ever buy another minelab again, unless they replace their pods that flood with one that doesn't. And I really don't expect that to happen. Too many people have had control boxes to flood and they still haven't fixed the problem.

I don't think it can't beat it at everything. For one, I wouldn't want to look at that screen for 3-4 hours. I saw a few vids on youtube and I don't dig the tones on the Deus either. And that price... $1600 ! Did I see right ? That would mean $2000 CAD ! At this point I'm not even wishing for anything more out of the Equinox when it comes to performance. All I want is a more solid build (without added weight) and an easily changeable battery or readily available power source. Minelab could also be closer to their customers (take example from Nokta).

I nearly choked when I saw the listed price myself.
I agree with you on your post on all points especially the horrible dying duck tones 😂🤣

It would be in every manufacturers best interest to make sure they have a high quality machine prior to releasing it to the public..
Whites had issues with the MX sport leaking and cracking ,Tesoro had a great lifetime warranty and both went under..you can’t make a profit if your fixing or replacing half of what you sell..
