Pinpointers What’s your favorite?

Ben Town

Member
I was out the first of the month detecting and unloaded everything out of the truck when I got home.
‘Didn’t notice until a few days ago my pinpointed is missing, when back to the field I was in and did not see it, had been some traffic there so someone picked it up.
‘It was a Garrett Carrot that I’ve had for years . It has served me well . I’ve looked for a Bulls Eye TRX but looks like there done.
‘Any commits on your favorite or should I just get another Carrot?

I've only used one type and it is a garrett original black pin pointer. though I have had some issues with them over the yrs, I would just call their customer service number, explain the problem. they would pay for shipping back to them and send me a brand-new unit every time... doesn't get any better than that.

I'll second the Minelab Pro Find 25. Mine has never interfered with any of my detectors. The same cannot be said for my black Garrett. If/when I have to purchase a new pinpointer, it will likely be the waterproof Pro Find 35.

Garrett Propointer II…. I’ve been using Propointers so long that everything else just seems awkward. I’m not a fan of push the button to change modes.Just give me off/on so I don’t push the button too many times and screw everything up. I also have a carrot,an Fpulse and have at times owned TRX’s,Minelabs among others, but carry two Propointer II’s when I hunt..

I had both black and orange one --the black always won out.

One of my Favorites is the Pocket Uni-probe. It's pulse inductive and has good depth. Not many left out there I'm sure. The company that made them is No Longer and if needing repair
I'd think you're SOL!!! they also made these in a Headphone set.
I also own 2 Original Garrett pin pointers like new that just sit
because I favor the Uni-probe. Wishing you all the Best here on Findmall Forums.

I have been using the original Propointer since 2009, and it has served me well.
It has been dropped countess times, but continues to work flawlessly.
Before this one, I had a Vibraprobe 570, but I prefer the Garrett.

I've been using the black Garrett for years and it satisfied all my needs.

Garrett AT ProPointer w/Z-lLnk for my MS-3 Headphones. Have one set for each of my two microMAX Tesoro's, one for the F-19 Ltd., and one set for my Nokta Relic or Makro Racer. All four of the AT ProPointers work very well without issues.
