Elite Observations

After a few outings with the Elite I have concluded that it is just a hot rod Vanquish that has wireless headphones and a single frequency. I hunted exclusively in multi frequency and found no advantage, if fact it was worse in Iron than the Pro. Minelab is tight lipped on the multi frequency game also. I just don't think it processes any better than the X-Terra Pro in any given frequency. I love the Pro as it is step up from changing coils on the 1st generation X-Terra. Maybe in other settings than pure relic hunting it excells They could make the Pro With just the field settings and add 18 kHz and it would be perfect for me. Just my opinion.......

I moved up from Pro For Pure Relic Hunting. The Elites VID Number and More Stabiles and deeper Vs Pro The biggest adjustment find deep relics in High Iron set id Hunt Only Two Tone , and Set Iron Bio a O . Hunt only in Feilds 2 for Relics, lastly cant ran Sen as hot Pro With Milp FEQ have set slight Lower, ELITE hit smaller hard sliver. Last i Hot Soil Elite work better then pro

The Elite really loves nickels. I'm using mine with the 6" Equinox coil in very trashy parks.

Good point Rich.----The 6" coil "lives" on my Elite--that coil separates targets like there's no tomorrow---deep to for a coil that size.

My gold kruzer smokes the elite in iron infested sites , but I like the easy menu able to hit the 15khz on the fly is cool, I've used at salt beaches with very little chirp, but the crazy thing I found out that it will null over a buried sand crab lol you heard me right a damn crab lol, I was night hunting right at the break line and found 2 crabs with it lol. Oh well, HHHank

I've seen people find sand crabs metal detecting on YouTube. I wonder why they tone

Oddly, I agree with what you have said here. Maybe I just didn't experiment with the Elite settings enough as others have suggested. I sold mine although I really did like the menu lay out.
