Need advice on replacing view screen on a Fisher CZ-5

I got a very beat up junker [cosmetically] from a for sale ad, that said "VERY NICE" I was too trusting, or stupid to ask for some closeup pictures, so I ended up with a very unsightly CZ-5 Anyway, I can live with all the scratches and discolorations etc, but the ID screen is so scratched and...

Compare this detector to anything you get under $400.00 Personally, with 11 detectors I own, I am truely impressed!

FOR INSTANCE: Compare the Euro-Tek-Pro to the Tesoro Silver or anything similar or well above in $. The Tesoro Silver is $254.00 and has almost none of the Euro-Tek features listed below-just, according to manufacturer: "Product Features: Push Button Battery Test Silent Search Discriminate Mode...

Frank Hamil - ? - Been out of detecting a few years. Is Frank still detecting and posting?

I used to be on his email list, but haven't heard from him in a long time! We hunted together here in Florida a couple of times. Nice and knowledgeable guy Frank!

The 9" whites spider coil. Is it made for my original MXT? Also, what is the weight?

I did quite an internet search and didn't find my answer, so I thought I'd got right to the experts! I'm 65 and not in great condition. I don't use my 950 anymore-it's too heavy. So, instead I have to use my Eclipse 5.3 I'm hoping this 9" whites spider coil will be lighter than my 950. Thanks!

Maximum Depth You Have Gotten On A Nickle. A Guy Told Me 14"-15"

In all my many years of detecting and owning darn near every detector made, I have never hit a nickle at 14" or more. He is not happy with that and says he wants to fing a machine that will hit nickles at 18" I can't help but feel "He's go a dream" LOL What say ye?

Anything coming out from Tesoro soon?

I think the last thing I saw was the Cibola?

Your experience with gold ring travel and sinking in saltwater "SAND"

I have done tests with gold rings and if you tie a 2 pound test mono line to your ring and lay it in the wet sand-with even mild waves passing over it, it will be 6" deep in about 15 minutes. By the next day a foot- 2'. { Assuming we are talking just sand-if shell or hard bottom is 6" down, it...

Pinpointing probes compared? I'm interested in handheld probes built in the last few years, that will hit a coin at 3" +

Hi everyone! I still have my Detectorpro Pocket Uniprobe, which will hit a coin at well over 3" and a Vibraprobe, which only goes an inch-but I think is the best of all the older electronic probes made? I read that Garrett makes a probe now, that will hit a coin at 3" is that true? I also saw...

F5 Nickel test done today and i'm impressed!!!

I set the F5 to full disc and notched in nickels. I set the gain to 90 and the threshold to -3. In my soil, that was almost silent and I tried a load of other settings, but that worked the best for depth and steadiness. It's simple really, if the F5 says 30 and maybe jumps to 29 it's a nickel.{...

Question for Mike Hillis and other F5 experts-about ID'ing nickels

I got a Fisher F5 about a week ago and already owned a White's MXT. The mxt say's 18-20 and 90% of the time it's a nickel. The F5 has nickels in with the pulltabs. I'm looking for advice! :-) I wonder why Fisher didn't make the F5 to more correctly ID nickels? Or at least be able to notch...

Fresh, more to the point start on what detector, for coinshooting you consider exceptional, that was made after 2006

Anything of interest, made through 2006, I have already had. Most of us have a favorite and some of us have favorites that came out since 2006. That's all I was looking for, was opinions on "what all" anyone thought was worth trying. I should have been more specific. Coinshooting only. I have...

1st single frequency detector i've ever seen that will GB wet salt sand in my area of Florida!

I recently got a Fisher F70 and my 1st impression was "It feels cheap" Then I got to thinking, the only complaint I have always had about the multi freq detectors that could deal with wet salt sand, was that they were too heavy. So, I guess the F70 is the one lightweight detector, that can gb...

So, in your opinion, what new detector is the best? I had to quit detecting a few years ago

I had tried out basically all of the detectors made up through the years and had found the 2 best to be the White's MXT and Minelab GT. The only newer one i've tried, is the Fisher F70 I have now [along with my MXT] I would be interested in hearing what you consider to be exceptional detectors...

To the folks in North Port that I met at Englewood beach

Hello! :) Say, that tip you gave me on footwear for water hunting, was right on!!! I got a pair at Wal-Mart and they beat everything else i've ever used!!! I have some water hunting spots, i'd like to discuss with you. Maybe we can trade out some spots or hunt some together? :) PS: I'm sorry, I...
