Visiting Gold Coast, Australia. Do you know where I can rent a Minelab detector?

If there is such a rental service, I won't have to bring my E-Trac :-)

Help on Minelab Repairs contact e-mail

Just sent my XT70 in for some repairs and I've not heard from them. Can someone give me the contact name & e-mail of the repairs/service manager? thanks.

Looking for what all my detectors may have left behind...

hunting old sites that Iv'e worked with my other detectors (tesoro, minelabs)...there should be much more musketballs, buttons, buckles, old spanish coppers and US silver where I do my hunting but I am not finding any more than the usual with the F75 - no sudden highly productive site from the...

what is the usual turnaround time for Xterra repairs?

Live overseas. Planning to bring my XT70 in when I visit CA next year and wondering if I'd be lugging it back home at the end of a 2 week stay. Oh yeah, problem is erratic TID - probably just something loose inside.

    F75 and small coil help

Hi All, I hunt a moderate to trashy site and I like the quick target response of the F75. I find that the large coil stable but the small coil seems to be erratic...something I didn't expect. The tones on the small coil don't seem to be solid tones too. Wonder if this is due to the fact that it...

What have you found on the beach with your Q?

I've not been using my Quattro more for land but would like to do more beach hunting with it. Haven't had much mileage on my Q for quite some time though... How fast can you swing this unit in the wet sand?

    Old Spanish Button

Was working this trashy site with the small sunray coil and was sure glad this came up. Its a plain button with a wired shank probably late 18th century.

    XT70 erratic readings on quarter

I was wondering why my XT70 was such a hard machine to use...I think mine is broken. A US quarter reads 42 on my machine but after doing ground balancing I found that the same quarter reads as low as 6-8. Tried changing batteries and also tried different coils and the readings are the same...

Demonstrating my F75 to a group of Archaeologists this July

Hi All, Most of you probably know that the Philippines had more than 300 years of spanish rule and about 40 years as an american colony. Last year, together with two fellow MDers, we approached our National Museum and offered the use of our free time and equipment to find small metal artifacts...

What settings do you recommend for relic hunting?

I've been detecting since '96 but new to the F75. Didn't do too bad with the F75 in my first two trips but am now taking my F75 on a trip to a really old house nearby an old spanish church. Hope to find copper coins, brass & maybe even silver items.

    Last weekend finds of F75

Just got the unit early June. Had lots of fun using the F75. On my first trip I was able to find relics, coins and jewelry! Wow! Oops no silver coins yet but hopefully it will come :-) Old encrusted coin, crucifix, bullets, a gold bracelet and 1940s coins. Not shown are two junk rings, a junk...

:clapping: Thank you Barnacle Bill for the FaqFaq sticky!

I don't visit these forums as often as I used to. I would like to thank Barnacle Bill for the FaqFaq sticky as it saves time and answers a lot of basic questions. I think ALL MD FORUMS should have one.

Question on Coil selections for the X70...

I have a question on the favored targets under the coil selection tables found here... http://www.findmall.com/read.php?55,612930,612930#msg-612930 Does this mean that the 9 inch coil marked BGL (brass, gold and lead) cannot find silver? I think not but I guess it does mean that it is less hot...
