    What is the consensus on VLF probes versus PI probes? It seems the probes with PI technology go deeper and aren’t effected by ground mineralization but they do not seem to be as popular. What am I missing here? Why are the VLF probes so much more widely used? What are the drawbacks to the PI...

    5900 that is interesting. What is the negative side of tip only? The drawback I could see is if your target is off to the side of the hole you might not have enough room to angle the probe enough so that the top is pointed towards the target. Otherwise it seems like it would be the better...
