    First outing with Cortez

    Found this 1947 dime with the Cortez on my first outing with it. Sorry for poor image quality.

    CNC made skid plate

    My new detector did not have a scuff cover with it, so I traced out the coil, scanned the trace and made a skid plate using some styrene and a CNC router, fastened the plate using packing tape.

    Sand Shark finds

    Found nearly 30$ today with the Sand Shark, includes one silver 25 cent and one silver 10 cent piece. I was happy with this detector.

    Older French Coin

    Found this coin with a Cibola in a local yard, likely from the mid 1800's it appears as though someone made it into a button by rounding it off and drilling holes in it.

    Today in Canada

    Here are some pics taken today somewhere in Canada, found a 1951 silver dimes as well as several older pennies, Here is a pic of my metal detector on the beach by a whalebone. and a shot of the silver.

    balls button and ring

    I found these two musket balls and a very old button in western canada at a site 1828-1832 on the same day. Also shown are 4 silver rings found this year.

    rings, balls and button

    I have found these rings since spring thaw. The musket balls date around 1828 - 1832. The button was found at the same location and reads TREBLE GILT on the back. Button and balls found with a Cibola.
