    Favorite Sovereign coil?

Rick (ND), Thank you for taking the time to respond and answer my question. I felt a little foolish asking it as I used to calibrate this meter many times during an outing. After ten years of not using this system (or any of my other detectors, for that matter) I plain old forgot how to use...

    Favorite Sovereign coil?

To those who own a Sunray DTI III meter, would you please tell me how to calibrate it? I know, an embarrassing question, seeing that I own it and a Minelab Sovereign GT that haven't used in 10+ years. Now that I'm retired I'd like to get back into the hobby... and unfortunately over the years I...

    CZ coil wire question

During the off season, if your coil cable doesn't feel stiff or brittle, you might try hanging it from the coil's box connector and allow the coil to hang freely and put some tension on the cable to see if it will straighten out to your satisfaction.

    Depth for CZ6a

Another thing to keep in mind about the depth you achieve when testing "pennies" in the soil. Today's pennies are made of a zinc alloy and the pennies when a CZ was manufactured were made of a copper alloy. Try your ground test with a copper Lincoln penny... I think you might see an increase in...

Just seen where Dan-Pa. a long time member on here has passed away!! Read it on another forum.

I've been away from detecting for about 6+ years and I've recently had the desire to return.During my years of detecting I've had many discussions with Dan in regard to the CZ detectors. We've even managed to sell/swap a few detectors with each other over the years. My condolences to Dan's...

Preferred search coil for beach hunting with a Sovereign GT

I recently purchased a NEL 12x10 search coil after hearing how good it was on a Sovereign GT when used in black dirt. I also have a Sunray 12 search coil that I had purchased for hunting on the New England beaches. Due to all of the snow and cold weather up here in the Northeast... I have yet...

Fisher F5 and CoinStrike search coils

Seeing that the F5 and the CoinStrike are both made by Fisher and they operate of very closer frequencies (with the F5 running at 7.8 kHz and the CoinStrike running at 7.6 kHz ) would the search coils from these detectors be interchangable between detectors? -NEBeachcomber

I would like to obtain a copy of the Goldquest Aquasearch v2 manual. Would anyone be willing to scan their copy and email it to me?

Joe Patrick's "In-Sight Meter" for Sovereign Detectors

I just came across a brochure for Joe Patrick's "In-Sight Meter" for the Sovereign metal detectors? I've have a SunRay DTI III and I was thinking of having one of the In-Sight meters installed in my GT. I guess my question is... has anyone who has owned a DTI meter and converted their Sovereign...

    Questions about CoinStrike, F75 &T2

(I apologize if this question has been asked before and I missed it when reading the forums.) Having scanned through the Classic, F75 and Teknetics forums on Find Mall... I see what appears to be similarities between the discontinued CoinStrike, the Fisher F75 and the Teknetics T2. (single...

Gold Bug 2 for Micro Jewelry Hunting

I just had a thought about a new detector I'm thinking about purchasing for the upcoming beach hunting season... If I were to purchase a Fisher Gold Bug 2 for micro-jewelry hunting in the dry sand on the beaches... would I want to buy the detector with a 6" or 10" search coil? If...

    Question about Aquasearch

I just received an Aquasearch V.2 that I purchased used. This detector is in excellent-plus condition and it appears to be operating flawlessly. To say that I am amazed at how small and well built this unit is would be an understatement. Unfortunately the problem that I face with this...
