    It's been cleaned up about as much as possible. It's almost a clump of rust except for the features that appear to look like a broken blade pocket knife that's rusted in half, if you are holding it in front of you. I've put a coat of urethane on it & put it away. Classified: Thingy wingy...

    Were all pocket knife bolsters brass at that time? This one i'm picturing has both bolsters showing as you would expect but don't seem to be made of brass. Another site called it immediately as what's left of an extended blade broken pocket knife. Thanks
