    Gold...sell or hold ?????

I would have trouble dealing with that as well. Worst offer I have ever had on silver was 90% , gold is 95% , last time I sold silver was at $30 which was 5 over spot and the important thing on silver to remember is that "spot in not". Check the big selling sites like Monex or Apmex and then...

    Gold...sell or hold ?????

You're going to be better off finding a local source to sell than sending it to a refiner with the cost of shipping and percentages the refiner will eventually take. Know what you have and take it someone reputable even if you have to travel a few miles and if they will deal on a cash basis ...

    Gold...sell or hold ?????

My philosophy has never been "sell or hold" when it comes to precious metals , I prefer "spend or keep" , there is a difference and don't forget the tax implications if you choose to sell with a paper trail.

    Coin tumbling question…

Want get them really clean quick? Don't use gravel , substitute with a couple boxes of 1/2 to 3/4" zinc or chrome screws.

    Legend V1.14 Beta

Interesting but I'm going to have to wait for the final version , sounds like it turns the well mannered Legend into an F75 ltd in boost mode with 100% sensitivity.;)

    Manticore

I experience plenty of that myself but it kills me to leave behind even zinc readings if they sound a little better than normal. The biggest drawback with using the Legend is the crowded target VDI in the 40+ range.

    Manticore

Dirt has lot to do with VDI when you start talking about 1 digit differences. In my dirt on the etrac , CTX dimes often read lower than a copper 12-43 vs 12-44 for a copper , zincs much lower to 12-37 , on the legend dimes never go above 46 , coppers 44-46. Why you would care is beyond me ...

    Newer Metal Detectors

I don't like doing it either but that seems to be the trend these days , just like sealed components , lithium batteries , carbon fiber and multi-frequency. Technology marches forward whether good or more complicated. I just started using a smart phone a couple of months ago and we are all going...

    Charging

I noticed the same thing the other day. I also have a screen saver on mine that is about a 1/16 short of the top of the screen and it further obscures the view a bit. To see the icon I have to almost try to look under the top edge of the control housing but it is there. Appears to just turn...
