Way too many sycophants and too much arrogant moderation over there for my tastes , I haven't logged in for years
People can participate where they feel is best. DP has some of the highest quality information on detecting available, organized in a very efficient manner. A low tolerance for BS is not arrogance, it’s practical and refreshing. I’m glad it is still available for reading & research.

Toms forum had lots of good info as well , not sure if that is still available or not but looks like both forums are basically mothballed for lack of participation. Perhaps too much of something in one site and not enough on the other

DP's closing had zero to do with participation. Steve H is a multimillionaire. He spent his life in Alaska operating the biggest detector dealership in that state. Had something like 300 employees. He sold the company to his employees, and moved to Reno. Could have just goofed off, but felt he still had a lot to offer the gold prospecting arena, so started DP. He just got into his '70's and decided he'd had enough of the BS that comes with running a site. So, he retired. That site had a ton of active members. I was one of them for many years. Do your homework before making statements that aren't true.

Tom's new forum is still there but the majority of posts are from one person--not Tom. They said Tom lost his connection to the forum but is working to get it back and will post again when he does. It is surely not like it was a few years ago. I don't go there anymore.

You're obviously one of Steve's followers and have the inside poop , as I said , I haven't hit the site for years and am just going off what I read in the previous posts. My days of prospecting are decades in the rear and a lot of the info I saw on the site had a heavily corporate bias and the petulance he displayed with his occasional visit to Tom's site made spending much time on DP a bit distasteful.
