    War nickels...I can't figure em out

    Now that you mention it I remember finding several war nickels at one spot a few years back and the VDI's weren't consistent at all. I just figured it was adjacent trash skewing the #'s. I wonder if they alloyed them with a wide range of materials ?

    Careful folks, these are still dangerous....

    ...even when the head's cut off. This one still managed to steal one last quarter (signal) from me. I've always hated these things. Had to saw through the 3/4" root that had punched the hole in the glass to get it out....think I'll give it a final "burial at sea".
