    Back To The Missouri Battlefield

Had the chance to hit one of my favorite spots. A Missouri CW battlefield. Hit three different parts of this large area. A large household garden spot, a large open hayfield with clean sandy soil, and a rocky picket post on a hill overlooking a creek. The darker bullets came from the garden area...

Returned to Civil War Era Ghost Town

Hunted this site pretty hard earlier this Fall. The field has since been plowed, so took my New Blisstool detector to the area where a hotel used to stand. It is literally carpeted with nails. Not the best place to try a new detector for the first time, but it performed well. Pulled some...

    Newbie Question

Sorry if this has been addressed (I'm sure it has). Did a search and could find nothing on it. How do you deal with wrap around signals. I was hunting an old school yard yesterday and got a lot of high tone signals with the cursor at the bottom of the screen. I"m assuming it's false wrap around...

A Few Saves From The Missouri Battlefield

Back to the Missouri battlefield I've been hunting off and on for thirty years. It continues to grudgingly give up some relics on every trip. Used my trusty F 75 SE. At the top are some rimfire cartridges. Below that is a piece of a harmonica and a coat weight. Below that is a nice .69 cal...

    CTX3030 Is A Nickle Magnet

I set my four tones so nickles have the same high tone as dimes and quarters. Set the size of the second level at 11 bottom and 15 top. Today I tried it out at an old school that was closed several years ago. I dug all high tones targets that read between the 11 and 15. I dug four pieces of can...

    Back To The Missouri Battlefield

Headed back to one of my favorite hunting spots with my trusty F 75SE. A Missouri Civil War battlefield on private property, with landowner's permission. Dug some interesting relics. Probably the best item was a lead gambling die, shown just below the brass hook. Next to it is a thin flat...

Missouri Battlefield Gives Up Mixed Bag Of Relics

Spent some quality time with my trusty F 75 SE on a Missouri battlefield. Hunting on private property with land owners permission. Quite a mixed bag, including a modern penny and nickle. Dug two harness buckels, a supender clip, eight shot bullets and what apears to be a carved bullet. The round...
