    Tejon in bad ground

    There's a few places where I hunt that have pretty bad ground around the border between AL and TN. When I've hunted those spots I have to use my digital Minelab machine, but would prefer to use the Tejon. I'm just wondering if the 12X10 DD coil makes it possible to get back some of the depth...

    Etrac threshold

    Does the Etrac have an audible threshold in a discrimination mode? Can you be running a disc pattern and have the threshold up just loud enough to hear it, so any interruption in the threshold can indicate something at the edge of detectability that wouldn't register otherwise?

    Anyone use a probe?

    Does anyone use a thin round rod as a probe for deeper targets? I've put together one with a wood handle and the end is flat to prevent puncturing finds and I coat and recoat the end with epoxy to prevent scratching.

    Any fly fishers out there?

    I was a fly fisherman, even before I got into detecting. During the winter I build fly rods and fix up old ones. I even build bamboo fly rods from time-to-time and that's pretty much all I fish with.

    I still have my XT-70 and am back to relic hunting this year. While I usually use my Tejon, I'd like to use my XT-70 for it too. What setup do ya'll use for relic hunting with an Xterra?

    Is there a way to run with a barely audible threshold?

    One of the great thing about the White's I used to use, was the ability to run with a slight threshold and listen for deep targets. Is there a way to do it with a Tejon or Outlaw? I know it would be in all metal and some detectors just aren't equipped to do this and maintain a steady threshold.
