    VDI numbers

    The update, for me, was a breeze-- 7 minutes. Haven't had time to do any testing, but I think calabash wasn't impressed by M2/M3. YMMV, of course. The Nox was just as chatty at 4khz, where RS and I hunt.

    RonStar and I are discovering that in 4kz, the Legend is an aluminum magnet. With my ctx/etrac I'm pretty good weeding those out-- Elmy has been extremely helpful in this regard. But with the legend just because something is scratchy doesn't mean it is slaw. To me, almost every signal on that...

    Headphones?

    @spr-- with 8 hours of Legend use under my belt, I'm not very keen on the headphones. There is a lag and they often fade out for a brief moment. Not a reason to ditch the machine, but the ctx wireless is way better, methinks. I had the same complaint with the Nox. It could be where Ronstar...

    How exactly does the 2D VDI on minelab machines work?

    It is a great machine. For high EMI areas, I got a nox, sold that, then picked up a Legend. Going to a single set of digits for target ID-- I can't get used to that.

    Nox to legend

    My buddy Ronstar, who is out of town right now, but might chime in in a couple days, is playing with his new Legend. He does very well with it, and it appears to be a better build than the Nox, which I swung for awhile and sold.

    Silver rejection in high trash mode

    Fwiw, the only silver dollar I have found, rang up 12 41. Ground coin. 5". First target of the day. If it were the last target, I would have skipped it.

    While I had the nox, I rolled back because I was having serious issues with it-- specifically, it was missing some coins my other MLs were grabbing. And at times behaving erratically.

    Well, it is smarter than I am. So far, if it tells me it is iron, it is iron. Go around the target, click Elmy's qm settings, high rise pinpoint... I hardly dig trash anymore unless looking for gold, in which case I usually use AndyS.
