    Question! Is the E-Trac really the best coin detector?

    I prefer the etrac over the ctx. Sold my nox. Where I hunt, I'd be looking for an etrac or f75. They do the job and won't break the bank. They may be old tech, but they work. Get one, play with it, keep it or sell it. If you don't like it, I might buy it off of you.

    Yep... I methodically compared nox against the ctx and etrac-- sold the nox. It even lost out to Ronstar's F75.

    Today's departure with surprise

    I found an urn at the local university. Small, about the size of one of those half sized coke cans. Probably drugs inside-- it was buried in a way that it was going to be retrieved and had a sickish sweet odor. Anyway, got a couple bucks for scrap value.

    Hi Dan, I have one that is hardly used. How does $120 sound? Also going to sell the stock coil and a sef 8x6. Maybe. Not sure on that, yet.

    using GPS on CTX3030 drain battery faster?

    Battery drain wasn't noticeable for my det habits. My problem with it was finite memory for tracking. I suppose you could make a waypoint, and with each you would know the center of a spot that you had gridded already.

    I found the gps a waste of time. Maybe I wasn't using it properly. Some guys here like it.
