Gold, Silver and more at the EMI lawn.

Cartridge-- was hanging from a keychain. i made lots of these when I was a kid: pulled out the bullet, dumped the powerder, then reseated. Amazing find... the gold!

Delivering champagne netted me 3 silvers

Thanks, Elmy. Same Etrac Magic setup. That Barber had me chasing my tale-- this 2"x3" U nail and another nail were above and below it. I could hear it, but couldn't find it. I opened that plug 3x, feeling a tad exasperated because it is flipping cold and dammit I had to pee! I'll drag Ron...

Best Wired Full Ear Headphones for the Equinox?

I use Treasure Wise 1/4" Angled Plug Metal Detector Headphones that I got off ebay. $25. No complaints.

And another! Ronstar was invited, but he's on a short leash today. Different 1900's home. A buck in clad and this. Obviously hit in the past--7" down. Didn't even look at numbers today, just listened to sounds. Happy feast day, all.

@still -- the top 1/2" was pretty crusty!

Delivering champagne netted me 3 silvers

Some friends live in a 1909 home-- I owed them for a couple lunches this summer, was never able to return the favor as they are in covid lockdown. As I can't return the favor, I dropped off some bubbly for the holiday. I never asked to detect their place, because it has already been detected...

Reasons why you stick with an E-Trac over the newer machines

That f75 sure brings home the bacon!

Reasons why you stick with an E-Trac over the newer machines

I keep coming back to the Etrac because in 'in the field' testing it performs on par with, or better, than my other detectors. It's ability to ID silver is the cherry on top. For me, the etrac was hard to master, and AndyS was always my go to program-- duh he's the expert, right?-- in hopes of...

Back to the cold and wind and holy moly this was fun!

BTw guys-- wouldn't hurt to carry around a spare pair of earbuds: my headphones went TU during our hunt. Just a fyi. Ronstar had an extra set! My hero!

@ matt-- all frequencies and all modes: park to gold. Fifth time, where a silver is just invisible to the nox but isgetting hit by a different machine. It's confidence busting. Yes it finds stuff and is a nice all-around detector; however, I can't get out of my mind with each square foot of...

Ok, ffffine, Earl is a nice guy. But he found a gold coin. Sorry, he has to disappear. Ron did it.

Damned right SD. Imagine trying to play Battleship but with a single number.

Now I know why I loved hunting with the CTX.

I would read all of Elmy's posts about the etrac-- alot will carry over to the ctx. I might sell my ctx--haven't decided yet-- but if I swing it anymore, I'm going to run a very tight pattern based on E's 1-10 with groundcoin.

Back to the cold and wind and holy moly this was fun!

@jim-- the nox definately finds silver. There are some situations, and I can't define what those are, where the silver just is invisible to it. Even ronstar witnessed a silver quarter at 6" being invisible to the machine. You just wouldn't know unless you were swinging a different detector...

Back to the cold and wind and holy moly this was fun!

@Matt: I know who it is... I've seen him swing-- I think he's cherry picking along with the usual nox silver masking. Been there, done that. The guy just found a gold $2.50 coin. Not his first rodeo.

Count me in! 'The mistress'-- that's funny.

Back to the cold and wind and holy moly this was fun!

Yah, I don't show anybody anything anymore, after a guy (at a fraternity) took a silver ring from me. If I think the owner is watching, every time I find something cool, I'll just shake my head as if it's a disappointment. Sometimes I carry a dateless buffalo as a giveaway.

    Bundle question

The weight of the 17" on an already heavy machine... that's something to think about.

Anyone moved from the Nox 800 back to a CTX3030

Yep, the nox is a trash whore.

First time I have gotten over the 100 mark for silver.

Congrats! It makes me wonder: what will we do when it is all gone?
