    I hear ya on that....I currently just glance and throw in the pouch with my eyes... I check all Roosevelt dime's ...I have found dark silver ones... but in the field I just give it a quick look and squint and throw it in the pouch.

I live in an area that is loaded with old closed...

    hit a new to me spot of the park, a small corner lot. Dug 8 model T valve stem nuts and one hub cap...I still have not a found a valve stem cover yet this year. 5 wheats, 3 were in one plug. a 43 Merc, and the best find of the day a "Virginia Fruit Juice Co." token, which dates from 1917-1921...

    been very busy, a friend who works in electronics told me to remove the battery for 24 hours... I did and then did a master reset... things seem to be working again. I can't explain how it worked... but it did.

    I will try that Elmy but most of my issue was with no VDI numbers even appearing???? just a blank screen, but the curser moves and the tones are audible... just no numbers.
