    E-trac has been sniffing out silver no matter what I do... I have been hunting with a friend who is using a Nox800... I found silver the last two times out... and last hunt he had the 15x12 and I had the 13" ultimate... he walked an area, and I followed... I found a silver locket and a silver...

    that is what it was like last year here... we were above average for rain every month... way above! this year all the stroms and pop up afternoon showers seem to miss my area... good news is I have not had to cut the grass in a few weeks now... some would be better than none, and in your case...

    Upstate SC has seen just a few very brief afternoon showers over the past couple of weeks... everyday they tell us showers are possible... nope...none... the midlands(SC) got hammered recently and I believe still are getting rain. cutting plugs in red clay is next to impossible and my hands sure...

    One way signals

    your correct on the E-trac with one way signals... 99% of the time it's trash, but if I can even squeak a hint of a tone on the 90deg turn I dig, 90% of the time still trash...although I may have gotten lucky the other 10%. I only owned the NOX 800 for about 2 weeks... so cannot comment on that...

    Coil direction

    my OCD says the second pic is correct... however I have watched many MDing videos with the coil wire on the left upper like the first pic.. I'm sure it doesn't matter performance wise... but the second pic makes more sense to my brain.

    I pulled 2 silver rings, way to many Mercs and wheats to count... a few rosies, 2 Barber quarters, one Barber dime, one IH, and a few good luck tokens... as far as nickels go I have dug maybe 20 or 30 here... one Buffalo the rest just jeffersons...still waiting on a V this year. I am grid...

    went back to a spot I frequent often... it is huge and will take me all summer to cover just once! digging is tough...dry and very stony. I wasn't let down today, a bit of hard work and sore hands... but was able to squeek out a few hidden silver dimes. took my camera today...

    I'm hoping it's back.. I really enjoyed myself yesterday with no pressure to find anything, and today just went out to find a few wheats and did! next hunt will be a dig every signal at another hunted out spot... I like those the best...
