The writing is on the wall.

Hi!. I always use a Vibra probe pinpointer down the beach, it's waterproof down to 200ft. I quite often dig with it if it in a rock pool with a layer of sand in the bottom so I cover the tip with a hard setting putty to protect the tip. I like this probe as it only detects on the tip which is...

    Tyrap

I use a stainless steel border spade which is pulled behind as I walk the beach and it's also very good for keeping my balance when detecting on the rocks. The bottom corners used to be squared off but are now both very rounded.

Anyone interested, the hairpin bend is shown on the MerryMoor pub web cam in Mawgan porth, as you will see you only get one chance at it.

I haven't posted in awhile or even metal detected - what is wrong with me?

Not been out much myself. We live in Cornwall and the place is over very busy, the beaches are packed with staycationists and the traffic is very bad so I shall wait until it gets quieter. The other day a car missed a very tight hairpin bend and went over the cliff and ended up on the beach and...

    Nox 800 Mods

I use milliput epoxy putty the red pack one on my Vibra probe to stop the tip wearing out, it has been on for over 6 months with no problems, it was about £4-00 for a 114gm pack which should last a long time.

No ring again but loads of fishing weights to 7lb and a couple of coins, good job the tide was getting high as I was getting off balance...

    Out today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Had a good walk and found some coins and fishing weights with my trusty Vibra 580 in the rock pools but the sand was about 3ft deeper than the last time I was there, I shall now start on the other 300+ beaches within about an hours drive. Just had a look at a beach I very rarely go to but looks...

My cell phone is so old it does not have an airoplane setting but when detecting on Cornish beaches no point having it on as I would not get a signal anyway:LOL::LOL:
