    Another first for me

    I know what you mean about the Nox it is great on the beach but i don't care that much for it on land, make sure you have the latest up date on the nox it did help with the problem of not locating silver dimes on edge. I love my Deus in the parks but don't like it on the beach.

    This ever happen to you?

    For pinpointing with the Nox i have found that the wiggle and draw back of the coil is the best way, not even using the pinpoint button, just wave over the target and pull back the coil until you don't hear it any more and the target is at the tip of the coil.

    I don't think you can go wrong with the 600 i have had one for about two years now, use i mostly at the beach and have found many gold rings and chains, i think that if you were going gold nugget hunting then the 800 would be the one.     By doing this it retunes the pointer for a narrower find, detuning makes the pointer less strong

    Two broke coils in one day

    I have not broken mine either but when i first got it i put a nylon washer on each side of the coil ears so it has no friction when you move the coil. Hope this helps

    Just used the old trick of taping a coin to the shaft of the pointer, if positioned right it will double the depth of the pointer, this should show you that it can be a good pinpointer if it was updated to perform better

    I have it adjusted right it just is not very strong, i don't know why Deus can't update these so they will work better, just threw it in the bag and went back to using the carrot it will go about 4 inches and i can locate a target with the deus then spot it with the carrot and use a probe to pop...
