    Depth consistancy?

    Anyone noticing and issue with reliable depth readings? I ahve had several targets read 3-4 inches only to dig a solid 10" and still not recover target. Figured as junk and filled in hole. Seems like the depth reading is not accurate. Anyone noticing this and whats the issue. Thanks, Mike

    Tried a little something I've been thinking about for a while. Today, I cleaned 1 Gal of clad in about 10 mins. I dipped them in Nitric acid for about 30- 45 secs for each batch.     Depth vs. sound

    Pin ID help

    Hello, would like some comment on this pin found today. It appears to be brass or copper. There is a shrouded oval bole in the side. No identifiable marks on front or back. ANyone ever see a pin with this type of hole in the side? The coin is a 1788 GEORGIVS III HalfPence. Thanks, Mike
