    D2 in EMI

    Thanks for the input everyone. Seems like I can expect similar EMI response if I get a D2 but not a big deal, I kind of figured as much. Maybe one of these years the engineers will figure it out and we'll get the "EMI" setting. I can usually get any of the machines I use (CTX, D1, ATPro) stable...

I have a Dues 1 that I love but need to reduce sens down to single digits to make detecting even possible at these...

    Same here. I use the z-lynk with the MS-3 headphones on the CTX. Works great!

    Is it true?

    Minelab's website states they support their products for at least 5 years after they are discontinued. I don't think their site is up to date because they do not list the E-Trac as discontinued yet. If I recall they were discontinued a year or so ago so even the ones sold within the past 3 years...

    Should I, or Shouldn’t I?

    Thats a tough one. I would personally hang on to it. I never had the E-Trac, but I have the CTX. I know they're very similar so it would be a great backup, plus the E-Trac was discontinued. But if I needed the money I would part with it.

    Thanks! I gave it a try over the weekend and it worked perfectly, with the pinpointer as well. I couldnt get volume at first but then realized I didnt have it plugged in all the way to the CTX.

    No doubt!! I think my wife would divorce me if I was talking to my detector while doing an air test in the dining room! I always hoped for a touch screen detector, but I guess that wouldn't work too well with muddy fingers! If someone would just come out with a machine that said "gold"...

    We thought our machines were BROKE !!!

    Hahaha! Almost did the same thing myself when I was a kid but my dad yelled at me like I never heard before. He wasn't being mean, just want to keep me from peeing on the electric fence. To this day I still thank him, otherwise he might not have grandkids! I don't think anyone would do that...

    Distance of Colonial Homes From Rivers

    If the field is fairly level and can easily flood, they probably wouldn't have built on it. If there are any higher grounds nearby, I would check there. Good luck and I hope you locate them.
