    Setting the 3030 for three tone

    I hunt mostly in the combined mode. So you have five tones. And I usually listen to my iron signals.that means I hunt open screen. No discrimination. I have found out that I usually ignore some of my lower signal tones. Which makes me think I may be missing some good targets. Like gold ring's...

    I don't think the ring is Civil War. It looks like it was made later . Maybe, off of farm equipment. Did the soldiers in the civil war set around chewing bullets? You think they were hungry.

    What a awesome,Hunt

    I found out this morning that they combine the beanfield. So off I went to one of my Civil War relic spots.Nice cool temperatures to boot. Some days are better than others ,but this was unusual day for me.

    today's hunt

    I found two drop bullets, two fired bullets,I also found a music box drum. I also found a victory medal from World War I. The owner said he knew the man that brought it back from the War . So as a good gesture I let him keep it.

    CTX 3030 has found my third half Dime

    I did a little Civil War relic hunting today. Found a half Dime I thought I was digging a bullet. Found it with the 17 inch coil . I had found two half dimes with the 17 inch, and one with the 11 inch coil. This half dime was at 9 inches deep. and the CTX found my first three cent piece...

    Frist hunt 17 inch coil

    Went to a well hunted site, old ball field. Me and this coil are going to get along fine .:clapping:

    Coil cover

    Gust got in my new 17 inch coil and the coil cover don't fit the front or the back in the v part of the coil. It will not go all the way on. Anyone have this problem?

    Great day with my 3030

    I found a 1854 Half Dime with my 3030. Here is a pic, It has some marks but I'll take it anyway.

    I dug my deepest Lincoln.

    It was at 11 1/2 inches .Settings used with the stock coil. ,Open screen, 2 Fe tone, Fe set at line 25 . Sensitivity was at 23 in the manual mode. I was using auto ground balance. The gain was set at 30.

    How many use the Long response setting

    The manual says that this is a good setting for high trash areas. When targets are very close to each other.Would like to know your opinion of this setting.
