    What about the excess wire near the control box? I am similar in the lower, straight wire run you made to the first 12 inches, but I spiral the wire to the control box. The velcro wraps are a must IMPO.

    That's going to be tricky with the narrow seat. I've owned a Honda Goldwing for years and that seat is nice for carrying pool cue cases. I can imagine a metal detector would easily pack with the correct case. Good luck.
