    FS: DFX 300

Raising funds for a possible V3i purchase, so here is my very nice DFX 300 up for sale. It has been used very little and is in excellent condition. Almost like new, but there are a a couple of marks on the bottom as can be seen from the picture, plus normal scuffs on the bottom of the coil...

    Wanted: Sovereign GT

Looking for a very nice Sovereign GT in excellent to like new condition. Accessories not a concern, just looking for one that has been well-cared for and seen relatively little use. I keep my detectors for a long time and want to start out with something nice. Let me know what you got...

Coil extension cables: thick vs. thin cable?

I am homebrewing a hipmount conversion for my 6000 Di Pro SL (mfg. in 1989) and need an extension cable to run from the handle back to the control box. White's has two 5' coil extension cables on their accessories page. One is the thicker DFX/MXT cable and the other is the thinner "up to 1988"...

    Goldmaster 2, 3, & V/sat: what's the difference?

And are they that technologically behind the GMT? Besides just the auto ground balance and digital display? I am looking for an inexpensive gold detector to mess around with on some family camping trips up to northern New Mexico this summer. I hear that you want to go with at least the...

My favorite detector, the XL Pro

There seem to be many XL Pro-appreciators out there, and I'm certainly one of them. Permit me to sing it praises one more time. Here's my favorite setup minus the Koss headphones and Bullseye II pinpointer. Got 'er in early 2005. One of the last new ones the dealer had in stock as a backup...

    Why Was The Vision Produced?

Hopefully, this is the flagship model of a whole new line of specialty and/or less expensive models that will be gradually replaced. Maybe a single freq "XLT replacement," turn-on and go models to replace M6 and high-end Prisms, and finally a 22.5-only gold machine, all with the new Vision...

    First time out with vision

And was there something specific about the new Vision that allowed you to make the find? Yes, awesome find!

Any one compaired the Vision against the GMT or the TDI for Gold

Good question. I am on the cusp of getting a GMT for a nugget hunting trip this summer to New Mexico. Almost pulled the trigger a couple of times but have held off so far. If the Vision proves at least close to the GMT in performance, I will probably spring for the Vision given it's added...

 Say it ain't so. Can't blame you though. We're jealous! Enjoy the new detector and please keep us posted on your thoughts after some field use.

Vision draws a big crowd in Texas

I was there Sunday afternoon right before the close with my 9-year-old son. We loved the show and must admit spent most of it looking at all the great finds on display. The Vision was there, although I didn't ask for a demo or much else about it....I wanted to play it safe and not temp myself...

WTT: NEW White's hard case for 9.5" coil

I have a brand new White's compact hard carrying case that fits DFX, XLT, MXT, M6, Classic 5ID, GMT, Sierra Madre, QXT and 6000 XL/XL Pro, that I would like to trade straight up for a new or nearly new 9.5" White's coil that fits the 6.59 kHz detectors like the XLT, 6000 series, etc. Thanks!

    XL Pro manual GEB conversion?

I love my XL Pro, but don't particularly care for the auto ground balance. It works fine I suppose, just that I prefer the manual control over the auto control, especially since I almost always hunt in "Lock" anyway. Back in the 80's, I got very used to and liked the manual control on my 6000D...
