    I am torn,,,, your thoughts?

I've been thinking I want to by the 6" coil for my 600, but I have hesitations as to whether it will really be worth the investment. To begin with, I haven't been overall impressed with the 600. I have trust issues due to a past hunt that handicapped the machine with EMI. But to be fair, I don't...

    A cool little paperweight

Catching up after the holidays We went for our annual Christmas beach camping trip and I brought along the Equinox 600 to have my second go at beach detecting. As it turned out, it was very cold that weekend and I almost didn't go detecting at all. But, I also wanted to try my new small beach...

    Lawn mower dinged/cut coins

This one stands out in my memory. I never did figure out for sure what the other item is. On another hunt I found a big old silver Navy ring that had been chopped by a mower and thrown against a chain link fence. The Compadre really shined that day!

Anybody use the T2 exclusively in all metal mode?

I know the Chigg video you're talking about. The only real gold ring I've ever dug was with the T2SE in all metal, on my first hunt with the machine. Like you said, it was deep and sounded "pretty good". I wound up using 2+ for the longest time. Been thinking about dusting off a detector after...

Input please on upgrading my detector

Congrats on you new detectors! It has probably already been said, but don't be in a rush get rid of those MXT's. They may be a little older and heavy, but they are worth holding on to as back ups or when you get a hankering to go old school-ish. Recently my MXT saved the day when my Nox 800 was...

    Need Help ID/Date.

Could be. I'll be the first to point out that I am very ignorant when it comes to horses. That said, I do love slipjoint pocketknives. Here's a picture of what I see. If it is a spring, there will be two small holes that the pins went in, one in the big end and one halfway Welcome to the...

    Need Help ID/Date.

Not really. There is really nothing there to distinguish age. Being made from carbon steel, and the amount of rust, I would guess somewhere in the first half of the 1900's. But again,,,, that is a wild guess. Stick with the hobby and you will likely dig many more of them.

    Need Help ID/Date.

One of them I believe is a pocket knife back spring. ( the picture with two items in your hand,,, closest to the heel of your hand)

    Silver #2 for 2023

I generally find 3 to 5 Coinstar silvers a year. An occasional wheatie,,, including a '43 steel cent. Lots of foreign coins, which I really enjoy finding.
