    D2- Outgrew My Shovel

Like most I step on my shovel to press into the earth a maximum of 8". When the top is flush with the ground level, that's all she wrote.

    D2- Outgrew My Shovel

We had some nice warmish breaks thawing the soil early this winter so I got out last Sunday. I am finally realizing the depth of the D2 has made my standard shovel I used for years obsolete. I am going to need a Spade with a 12" Blade to get to the targets...

My batteries held the charge all winter. I made shure they were only partly charged. I keep a spare charger cord in my truck. In the summer I sometimes plug in my gear if driving 45 min to my favorite hunting spots

I'm going back in time instead of moving forward

Things change. I still have my F75, but I haven't used it for quite some time. Probably the best tests are done if you take your old fisher and your new high tech unit out at the same time and test both on each target found. Only then you can truely judge the effectiveness of both. What I...

    New Equipment Tests You Do

I think when you get a new detector you purchased it expecting better performance. So your expectations are high and you key in on every signal expecting the best outcomes. So yes I think hunt with more intensity. Nothing worse than digging a bunch of junk targets with the new machine and...

My first Fall field hunt of the year

Sometimes iffy signals are puzzling. It is good you are getting some high conductor tones. As you reach the depth limit of a coil, won't the ID and tone become weaker and a high conductor object would come back and read as a lower number? As far as the a tone in sweeping one way and not the...

LARGE CITY PARK vs. SMALL GHETTO PARK.

I bet s small park gets as many visitors per acre as a large park. But the drops are are more concentrated in a small area thus less space between targets. Parks are interesting. Just when you think "nothing left" you can get a surprise. In my area I can get aerial photos of the neighborhoods...

    Excited about new Equinox

My 600 has been sitting in the closet for two years. Just not my idea of a go to detector. Too many problems like a sticky on-off switch and great at identifing bottle caps as coins. I did find one gold ring at a beach water's edge once but not much else worthwhile that I recall. There seems to...
